About the event
The International Women’s Day Panel Event will feature speakers from Downer, sharing insights on their journeys and careers in rail and manufacturing. This event is designed to inspire students by showcasing diverse career pathways and the value of women’s contributions in traditionally male-dominated industries.
This event supports career development and highlights the importance of gender diversity in the industry. The educational benefits are two-fold:
· Career exploration: Discover a variety of career opportunities in rail and manufacturing.
· Personal growth: Gain inspiration from successful women and reflect on strategies for your future.
Highly recommended for year 11 and 12 students, each session will run for 1.5 hours and will include a short presentation about the QTMP project and how they’re engaging women in non-traditional roles, a panel discussion where students will have the opportunity to ask questions, and networking with morning tea.
